HOW BIG IS IT?

The pendant is 3.2 inches long and 2.2 inches wide. The dori runs to 25 inches on each side including the extension. The earrings are circular, 1 inch in diameter.

IS IT HEAVY?

No. The whole set weighs 26 g — the body is cotton fabric and beads, not metal or stone. It is one of the two lightest sets in this collection.

CAN I ADJUST THE LENGTH?

Yes. The dori runs to 25 inches on each side including the extension, so you can wear it high on the collarbone or sitting lower, depending on the neckline.

WHAT IS IT MADE OF?

Plain green cotton fabric hand-painted with acrylic, backed in black fabric, with cotton beads along the dori. The earring wires are metal, so this is not a metal-free piece.

WHY IS PAINTING ON COTTON DIFFERENT?

Cotton absorbs the first stroke and spreads it, so colours have to go down one at a time and dry before the next one is laid against them. It is why the peacock's blues and greens stay distinct instead of bleeding together.

IS THE PAINTING DONE BY HAND?

Yes, on every piece — which is also why no two pendants carry exactly the same line.

CAN I WASH IT?

No. This is painted cotton fabric, so it cannot be washed, soaked or wiped with a damp cloth. Keep it dry.

WILL THE PAINT COME OFF?

Not in normal wear — acrylic paint sets into the fabric rather than sitting on top of it. Water, perfume and rubbing against a coarse fabric are what to keep it away from.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR IT WITH?

A plain contrasting outfit — cream, white, black or deep maroon. Avoid green, which flattens the whole pendant. Send me a photo of your outfit on WhatsApp at 91-9944952710 and I will tell you honestly whether it works.

HOW DO I CARE FOR IT?

Keep away from water entirely — do not wash, soak or wipe with a damp cloth
Apply perfume and hairspray first, and let them dry before wearing
Remove before bathing, swimming or heavy sweating
Do not fold or crush the pendant; store it flat
Store dry and separate, ideally in a soft pouch

A peacock hand-painted in blue, coral and green on plain green cotton, with round danglers carrying the same bird at a smaller scale.

Painting a peacock on cloth is harder than painting one on paper, because cotton drinks the first stroke and spreads it. The tail has to be laid down wet-on-dry, colour by colour, waiting between each one — which is why the blues stay separate from the greens instead of running into them.

The set weighs 26 grams, the lightest in the collection. The back of the pendant and both earrings are closed with black fabric, and cotton beads run along both sides of a dori that adjusts to 25 inches.

Pre-paid orders may be cancelled within 24h of order placement. A 5% payment gateway charge will apply.
All COD orders require order confirmation through a phone call (I shall call you).
Customized or made-to-order items are non-cancellable, non-returnable, and non-refundable, and are always pre-paid.
Returns/replacements for non-customized items must be initiated within 48h of delivery through WhatsApp. COD returns/replacements can be initiated only after payment is received.
For damaged products, an unboxing video is required. Once verified, The Yarn Artisan Store bears all return and replacement shipping costs.
For preference-based returns/replacements (including change of mind or choosing a different design/colour), no unboxing video is required. Yes. You get exactly the same product that you order. Boxing video or image of the chosen product will be sent to you at the time of packing so you can be assured that you get what you ordered.

What beads do you use in your bead jewellery?

In my bead jewellery category, ONLY imported Preciosa Glass seed beads ranging from 1mm to 3mm sizes are used.

Will the colours of the beads fade or run?

The colours are part of the glass that makes the bead. It is NOT coated. So the colours will not run. They will not fade even after repeated use.

Will this jewellery be comfortable? Will it tarnish?

Since both macrame and bead jewellery on the website use minimal metal, tarnishing is NEVER EVEN a problem.

Macrame jewellery is made with thread and is very light weight and comfortable. The jewellery becomes more pliable with wear and so it becomes more comfortable to wear with repeated use.

How long will this jewellery last?

With the right care, macrame and bead jewellery can last for years. I personally have pieces that are over 7 years old (as of 2026). I have customers who still send me pictures of them wearing the jewellery a year or more after purchasing it.

How long will delivery take and do you ship internationally?

Bead jewellery are shipped within 24 hours of order confirmation. Macrame jewellery are typically made to order and take between 3-10 business days depending on the size of the order.

Delivery within Tamil Nadu takes between 1-2 business days.
Delivery to other Metro cites take between 2-4 business days.
Delivery to all other locations take between 3-5 business days.

Do you offer returns & exchanges?

Yes. Returns and exchanges are offered on select products in case of damage or wrong product being shipped. Custom orders cannot be returned or exchanged.
