HOW LONG IS THE MAYUR NECKLACE?

The necklace measures about 18 inches from the top of the neck strap to the lowest point of the design. The beadwork is about 2.5 inches wide at the base, each side design is about 1.25 inches wide, and the back strap is about 0.3 inches wide. Earrings are about 2.5 inches long and 0.75 inches wide.

WHAT COLOUR IS THIS ONE?

A white and gold peacock with pink flowers, worked on a blue background. The same design is also available on a black background.

HOW DOES IT FASTEN?

The necklace has no clasp — it is worn over the head. The earrings are hook danglers.

IS IT HEAVY?

No. Glass seed beads are tiny and the piece is woven rather than cast, so it stays comfortable through a long wedding or evening function.

IS IT REVERSIBLE?

Yes. Beadloom work has no wrong side, so both faces are finished. Nothing shows if it turns while you are wearing it.

WILL THE COLOURS FADE?

The colour is in the glass itself rather than a surface coating, so it does not wear off the way plated or painted finishes do.

ARE THE MOTIFS WOVEN OR PRINTED?

Woven. Every line of the peacock and the flowers is placed bead by bead on the loom, worked from a chart. A single misplaced row shows, which is why figurative designs like this take far longer than a pattern.

WILL IT SUIT A SAREE?

Yes. At 18 inches it falls to the chest and works with both open and high necklines. The blue background is a natural fit with cream, white, mustard, coral and pinks, and it looks especially good against a plain saree that gives the peacock room.

Women artisans in North India, working the loom by hand. Every design in the store is chosen by me personally.

HOW DO I CARE FOR IT?

Keep away from water, perfume, hairspray and chemicals
Apply perfume and sprays first, and let them dry before wearing

Pre-paid orders may be cancelled within 24h of order placement. A 5% payment gateway charge will apply.
All COD orders require order confirmation through a phone call (I shall call you).
Customized or made-to-order items are non-cancellable, non-returnable, and non-refundable, and are always pre-paid.
Returns/replacements for non-customized items must be initiated within 48h of delivery through WhatsApp. COD returns/replacements can be initiated only after payment is received.
For damaged products, an unboxing video is required. Once verified, The Yarn Artisan Store bears all return and replacement shipping costs.
For preference-based returns/replacements (including change of mind or choosing a different design/colour), no unboxing video is required. A 5% transaction charge + ₹100 return shipping charge applies. For replacements, an additional ₹100 replacement shipping charge and any difference in product value will also apply.
Returned items must be unused, in original condition, with original packaging, invoice and freebies intact.

Will i get the same product/colours as in the image?

Yes. You get exactly the same product that you order. Boxing video or image of the chosen product will be sent to you at the time of packing so you can be assured that you get what you ordered.

What beads do you use in your bead jewellery?

In my bead jewellery category, ONLY imported Preciosa Glass seed beads ranging from 1mm to 3mm sizes are used.

Will the colours of the beads fade or run?

The colours are part of the glass that makes the bead. It is NOT coated. So the colours will not run. They will not fade even after repeated use.

Will this jewellery be comfortable? Will it tarnish?

Since both macrame and bead jewellery on the website use minimal metal, tarnishing is NEVER EVEN a problem.

Macrame jewellery is made with thread and is very light weight and comfortable. The jewellery becomes more pliable with wear and so it becomes more comfortable to wear with repeated use.

How long will this jewellery last?

With the right care, macrame and bead jewellery can last for years. I personally have pieces that are over 7 years old (as of 2026). I have customers who still send me pictures of them wearing the jewellery a year or more after purchasing it.

How long will delivery take and do you ship internationally?

Bead jewellery are shipped within 24 hours of order confirmation. Macrame jewellery are typically made to order and take between 3-10 business days depending on the size of the order.

Delivery within Tamil Nadu takes between 1-2 business days.
Delivery to other Metro cites take between 2-4 business days.
Delivery to all other locations take between 3-5 business days.

Do you offer returns & exchanges?

Yes. Returns and exchanges are offered on select products in case of damage or wrong product being shipped. Custom orders cannot be returned or exchanged.
