A tri-layered handmade macrame necklace set in white and light jamun, built around meenakari floral elements, jamun glass beads and faux glass pearls. Three strands fall together to mid-chest, and the matching stud danglers carry the same beaded fringe. Made for festive dressing, weddings and celebrations where you want one piece to lead the whole look.
Made by hand, to order
Every Vandana set is knotted by hand in our studio. One set takes around 20 hours at the workbench and uses roughly 60 metres of nylon-polyester cord. Nothing about it is assembled from parts — the strands, the fringe and the closure are all knotted from the same cord, which is why the finish carries through the whole piece.
That includes the dori. The adjustable dori is made by hand from the same thread as the necklace rather than being a bought-in cord, and it is worked into the necklace seamlessly, so the part that takes the most strain is the part made to match.
Size and fit
- Necklace: approximately 30 inches end to end, falling to around 15 inches on each side when worn
- An additional 12 inch adjustable dori extends it further
- Three strands, worn layered
- Earrings: approximately 3.5 inches long and 3 inches wide, stud danglers
- Closure: handmade adjustable dori, knotted from the same cord as the set
Materials
Nylon-polyester blended cord, meenakari floral elements, jamun glass beads and faux glass pearls. The pearls on this set are glass. The meenakari elements are enamel work on metal. Styling
A long layered necklace gives you room that a choker does not. It sits comfortably over a high-neck blouse, a closed collar or a kurta, and it works just as well with an open neckline where the three strands become the whole focal point. Against a plain or single-toned outfit the layering does the talking; against a heavily worked saree, let this be the only statement and keep the rest quiet.
Care
Keep away from water, perfume, hairspray and chemicals. Apply sprays first and let them dry before wearing. Remove before bathing, swimming or heavy sweating. Wipe suitable surfaces gently with a soft dry cloth. Store dry and separate, ideally in an airtight pouch, so the cord does not snag and the metal elements stay protected.

Because each set is knotted by hand, small differences in knotting, texture and bead placement occur between pieces. That is the character of the work, not a fault in it.

- Customized or made-to-order items are non-cancellable, non-returnable, and non-refundable, and are always pre-paid.
